Looking for new and fun things to do on your days off but don't know where to start? We've put together an amazing 2-day road trips that will take you to and through some great stops where you can eat, play and spend the night if you're not ready to head back to reality.

Begin Road Trip - Day 1

Breakfast  - Day 1
 
Sweet-lovers will love Golly G's in Pleasant View.  Enjoy their world famous cinnamon rolls with a cup of joe. The rolls are big enough to make a meal for two people! 
Enjoy some great coffee drinks at Street Coffee Coffee Bar along some with healthy morning options to eat.

Activities - Day 1
 
Spend the day at Sycamore Recreation: horseshoe pits to volleyball courts and hiking opportunities, plus lake activities as well. For hikers, the Cumberland River Bicentennial Trail is a rails-to-trails project, which runs 6.5 miles long and crosses Sycamore Creek on an historic abandoned railroad trestle.
Play basketball at Pleasant View Community Park, walk it's trail, and it has a fabulous Veterans Memorial Park in it as well.

Lunch - Day 1
 
When hunger strikes, grab lunch at Mama D's Home Cooking, Metta Cafe, or  Laredo's in downtown Ashland City where the food is fresh and made to order.Sidelines-Pleasant View or Sidelines-Ashland City offer you a menu with variety along with location flexibility.
 

Dinner - Day 1

Grab dinner at Vuocolo's Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar and savor the made-from-scratch pasta dishes. Or if you're in the mood to be near the water, order burgers to full dinners at Riverview Restaurant overlooking the Cumberland River.
 
Before heading off to bed be sure to catch some live music at Sheyegirl Coffee.

Where to Stay - Day 1
 
Ever been "glamping"? You will not want to miss a unique experience staying in a vintage 1949 Spartan Royal Mansion at No. 9 Farms. The trailer is set up above the gardens in a very private, wooded section complete with outdoor bath house, outdoor covered deck and stargazing deck and a fire pit.

If you'd prefer the luxuries of a hotel, Ashland City & Pleasant View each offer a luxurious Hampton Inn and there is a  Quality Inn in Kingston Springs.

Begin Road Trip - Day 2

Breakfast  - Day 2
 
Rise and shine! It's time for an old-fashioned hardy breakfast at Cody's Diner. Enjoy the Southern atmosphere with your pancakes, bacon and eggs or biscuits and gravy. Be prepared to be called "Sweet Pea" while you dine!

Lunch - Day 2
 
Make your way to Sweet T's in downtown Kingston Springs to feed your appetite with a delicious soups and sandwiches. Don't forget to try their famous gelato and delicious homemade ice cream!

If you're in the mood for an afternoon cold beer and some amazing food, stop in at Swezeys, great vibe and the best pub in the county!  

Activities - Day 2
 
Head straight to Kingston Springs to spend the day canoeing down the Harpeth River with Foggy Bottom Canoe or Tip-A-Canoe. Zip Line through the trees at AdventureWorks.

Not into the outdoors? You might want to check out Mud Puddle Pottery in Pegram to view the art gallery and browse the store.

Activities - Day 2
 
The day is still young! While you're in the area, visit Mound Bottom, an historic Native American archeological site located along the Harpeth River.
Do a driving tour and see historical as well as picturesque natural landscape throughout the county.

Dinner - Day 2
 
Before you leave our fair county, leave hungry for more, but not for food! Try the delicious, authentic wood-fired pizza at SKYKING Pizza. SKYKING pizza was recently voted one of the TOP 10 pizzas in Tennessee by Time Magazine! WOW!
